Scuba Claus Returns to the Great Ocean Tank at the Aquarium
Saint Nick is widely known for his impressive flight skills, but did you know he is also a certified scuba diver? Join the South Carolina Aquarium this holiday season for a festive dive show in the Great Ocean Tank featuring Scuba Claus or one of his merry elves.
Dive shows are led by an Aquarium educator and occur daily in front of the Great Ocean Tank at 11 am and 3 pm. Throughout the holidays, Scuba Claus will anchor weekend dive shows while elves are scheduled to appear on weekdays. Visit scaquarium.org/holidays to view a detailed schedule.
On select Sundays in December, Scuba Claus will put away his dive gear and join guests on the floor for photo opportunities from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm near the Carolina Seas exhibit. Visits with Santa are free with admission, and photo packages and ornaments will be available for purchase.
Resident shark-on-the-shelf, Finzy, is back again this year to spread holiday cheer throughout the Aquarium. Finzy will be hiding in a new spot each day. As children spot the plush shark (who is wearing a red Santa hat), they can share his location with the information desk staff to receive a small prize.
