Leftovers: Tidbits from the Food & Bev Community (1/15/18)
I created the “Leftovers” series to ensure I could share as much food and bev news as possible, so here’s the latest:
- Those in need a burger fix should head to Edmund’s Oast Brewing Co. (EOBC) on Tuesdays in January for the Pub Fare Pop-Up Series. Jason Bell and Jarrod Gass of Pub Fare will offer their popular burgers and fries with a side of cheese sauce starting at 5 pm. As usual, the bar will be open for all beverage purchases. – The Glass Onion will once again offer a popular menu item as an “anti-restaurant week” special for two weeks in January. From January 10th to 20th, patrons can order the popular Cornmeal Fried Carolina Mountain Trout served with garlic toast, choice of two sides, and a cocktail or dessert for $25 per person.
“Since our regular menu is already offered at restaurant week prices, we like offering a popular dish at an even better price,” stated Chris Stewart.
Reservations are recommended – www.ilovetheglassonion.

- Edmund’s Oast is offering a complimentary beer pairing or Cannonborough soda with each entree throughout restaurant week.
– - The Cocktail Club will offer a new happy hour special beginning on Monday, January 15th. In addition to their current “5-6-7” ($5 craft beer, $6 select wines and wells, $7 featured cocktails) deal from 5 to 8 pm on weeknights, they will now offer half-off cocktails from 5 to 6 pm every weeknight.
