CofC to Host “The First 365: Analyzing the First Year of the Trump Administration” with Joy-Anne Reid
The College of Charleston’s Race and Social Justice Initiative and Avery Research Center for African American History and Culture will present a faculty panel discussion, “The First 365: Analyzing the First Year of the Trump Administration,” on February 1st at 6:30 pm in the Sottile Theater. MSNBC host and political analyst Joy-Ann Reid will moderate the discussion.
The panel, featuring CofC faculty members, will use multidisciplinary lenses to examine the first year of the Trump Administration. Participants include:
- Anthony Greene – African American Studies and sociology
- Patricia Williams Lessane – African American Studies and anthropology
- Mike Lee – communication
- Matthew Cressler – religious studies
- Latasha Chaffin – political science
Reid is the host of AM JOY on MSNBC, as well as a national correspondent appearing regularly on primetime programs, including Hardball with Chris Matthews and The Last Word with Lawrence O’Donnell. She was previously the host of The Reid Report from 2014-2015.
This event is free and open to the public, but tickets are required for entry.
