Lowcountry Father Daughter Dance Marks 11th Year
Dads and daughters have a chance to make lasting memories at the 11th annual Lowcountry Father Daughter Dance hosted by Lowcountry Christian Community School. The event is 5:30-8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2 at Seacoast Church, 750 Long Point Road in Mount Pleasant.
The dance, sponsored in part by Mount Pleasant pediatric dental office Kids Teeth, includes dinner, dancing, photos and flowers for the girls. Tickets are $40 for dad and one girl; $15 for each additional girl. For information and tickets, visit www.lowcountrychristian.com/dance.
Attendees also can purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win a retreat for two at Camp St. Christopher, Rivertowne Country Club green fees, two tickets to a Charleston Stingrays hockey game, two tickets to a play at Charleston Stage Co., passes to SkyZone, jewelry from Polly’s Fine Jewelry and more.
Dr. Mike Myers of Kids Teeth attends each year with his daughter, Margaret, so being a sponsor again this year was an easy choice.
“We invite dad, grandads or other father figures to enjoy a memorable evening,” he said. “I know how much I’ve cherished this annual event with my daughter. They grow up so fast, and we have to grab these moments whenever we can.”
Lowcountry Christian Community School, located within Cokesbury United Methodist Church on Dorchester Road in North Charleston, was founded in 2006. It is a Biblically based K-8 school that partners with a community of like-minded families to foster moral and academic excellence.
The school started the event more than a decade ago as way to not only raise money for its programs, but also to support a cause important to its values and mission: the fundamental father-daughter relationship.
