Charleston Wine + Food brings back Business of Food
For the thirteenth edition of the annual Charleston Wine + Food festival, some of the industry’s finest culinary luminaries will take the stage for a discussion about the future of food on Friday, March 2nd at the Charleston Music Hall.
The first panel will be led by John T. Edge, director of the Southern Foodways Alliance, who will be joined by Johno Morisano + Mashama Bailey of The Grey, Roland Feldman of Smoke BBQ, and Diep Tran of Good Girl Dinette. These innovative food and drink professionals will discuss how progressive restaurateurs move beyond mere philanthropic giving to drive social and cultural change.
Following a short intermission, Adam Sachs will take the stage and welcome the chefs behind When Stars Align for a second panel discussion. Gavin Kaysen of Spoon and Stable, Steven D. Greene of Herons at the Umstead, Diego Muñoz of Cantina Peruana, Angie Mar of Beatrice Inn, Curtis Duffy and Charleston’s own Sean Brock. These culinary leaders will have an intimate conversation surrounding the role + soul of Modernist Cuisine and how they are honoring heritage ingredients while pushing culinary boundaries.
The Business of Food will take place at the Charleston Music Hall on Friday, March 2nd from 3 pm to 5 pm.
