A sixteen stall food court is being developed within the Garco Mill building near Park Circle by William Cogswell and Jay Weaver, the developers behind East Bay Street’s Cigar Factory, and Atlanta-based developers David Cochran and Merritt Lancaster of Paces Properties. Garco Mill is a mixed-use restoration project currently under construction in North Charleston.

Atlanta’s Krog Street Market, which was built into a 1920’s warehouse, will serve as inspiration for Garco Mill’s food hall. The market has received praise from publications like Travel & Leisure, Bon Appetit, and Fodor’s Travel.

Located between Virginia and O’Hear Avenues in North Charleston, Garco Mill will be comprised of 60,000 sq. ft. of first and second floor creative office space and the food hall will occupy the remaining 20,000 sq. ft. The developers will be focused on regional, specialty retailers and restaurants for the food hall roster.

Adjacent to the mill will be a one-acre public park, which will serve as host to several community and civic events. Current plans also include a movie theater and an outdoor pavilion.
