41st Annual Cooper River Bridge Run participants and Charleston area families are invited to attend the Cooper River Bridge Run Kids Run & Wonderfest, held at Hampton Park in Downtown Charleston on Friday, April 6th from 11 am to 6 pm. The event promotes a healthy lifestyle with an array of outdoor activities, toys, and entertainment that lead up to the Kids Run at 5 pm.

This official Cooper River Bridge Run event hosts a free festival from 11 am to 5 pm for anyone to attend with numerous free activities including obstacle courses, rec games, inflatable rides and slides, a rock climbing wall, a Monster Truck Video Gaming System, pony rides, face painting, arts and crafts from Art Buzz Kids, National Park Service, Bungee Jump Trampoline, and much more.  Free water and healthy snacks will be available in addition to onsite food vendors.

Wonder Works, Charleston’s favorite toy store for 28 years, is giving a free toy from Ty Inc. to every child in attendance, while supplies last. Kids will have a ball in the “Wonder Works Toy Village,” complete with toys from the nation’s top companies including Hearthsong’s giant inflatables and Charleston-made swinging sensation, the Swurfer!

“This is the seventh year Wonder Works has participated and it just gets bigger and better every year,” Wonder Works owner Christine Osborne said via a release. “The heart of this event is the kids. We want to let them express themselves, celebrate their talent, and let them have an amazing day just being a kid. Wonderfest is all about charity and community, and by participating you’re making magic happen for local children’s charities Hugs for Harper, Charleston Hope, and Going Places.”

There will be live entertainment from children and young adults all day, including musical performances by headliner Lauren Hall Band, as well as an interactive performance by John Cusatis with participation from eventgoers. T-Bone’s magic show and Kids Run warm up will begin at 4 pm, immediately followed by the Kids Run at 5 pm.
