Four Cinco de Mayo Cocktails That Aren’t Margaritas
Historically, Margarita’s have been the king of Cinco de Mayo, but they’re not the only drink worthy of accompanying your celebration. This year, elevate your party with these Mexican-inspired cocktails featuring Charleston’s Dixie Southern Vodka and Endless Summer Rum.
Here are the recipes:
Whistlin’ Watermelon (right)
2 oz Dixie Southern Vodka
5 cups cut up watermelon—remove seeds
2 cups ice
3 oz margarita mix
Put all in blender, serve in glass with salted rim.
Dixie Days
2 oz. Dixie Citrus Vodka
4 oz. red grapefruit juice
1 slice jalapeño
Shake with ice, pour into glass & top with soda.
Spicy Buck
1.5 oz Dixie Black Pepper Vodka
4 oz ginger beer
¼ tsp pickled jalapeño juice
1/4 juice of lime
Add a splash of soda
Stir, garnish with pickled jalapeño slice.
Palm Harbor Pomelo
2oz Endless Summer rum
4oz grapefruit juice
1oz cranberry juice
Add a splash of Club soda
Shake rum, grapefruit & cranberry juice with ice. Top with club soda, garnish with lemon slice
