Spanglish Opening on May 1st at Workshop

Published

on

“Fancy food court” Workshop will welcome its newest tenant on May 1st. Spanglish, helmed by executive chef Tomas Prado, will serve Cuban-American food starting next Tuesday.

Prado and his wife Lynda moved to the Holy City from Miami and both descended from Cuban families. The couple says their eatery is “not just a concept, but a personal story told through food.” The menu, which you can see below, includes sandwiches, larger plates, sides, and more.

Tomas has worked alongside some of the world’s most renowned chefs including Daniel Boulud and Jose Andres. He most recently worked as the chef at Andrew Carmellini’s Westlight, a popular rooftop restaurant and lounge in Brooklyn, New York. Lynda comes with an extensive background in hospitality and human resources. She will be bringing most of the sweet offerings at Spanglish, such as her mother’s rice pudding.
