Support the Green Heart Project with this Mex 1 Cocktail
Mex 1 Coastal Cantina is supporting the Green Heart Project throughout the month of July by offering a cocktail named “Seeds of Summer” in support of the local non-profit organization’s school garden programs for the upcoming school year.
The drink is a seasonally-inspired, watermelon-mint margarita and will be available at both the West Ashley and Sullivan’s Island locations throughout the month. The cocktail will include local grapefruit mint from the Green Heart Project’s school gardens, grown and maintained by elementary school students across the Charleston area. One dollar from every drink sold will go towards the non-profit’s “Back to School” fundraiser, directly supporting its school garden programming for the 2018-2019 school year.
Additionally, the Green Heart Project will join Mex 1 at the Charleston Margarita Festival on Friday, July 20th. Together with the Mex 1 team, Green Heart volunteers will promote the July fundraising campaign, educate attendees about their mission, and serve delicious margaritas.
