16th Annual First Day Festival Scheduled for August 12th
The 16th Annual First Day Festival will be held Sunday, August 12th at Liberty Square near the South Carolina Aquarium and Charleston Maritime Center. The free event will run from 1 pm to 4 pm.
The festival is a celebration of education and provides children and families with information on educational services in the community. At the event, students and their families receive school supplies, discover student support services, learn about healthy snacks, and enjoy festival entertainment.
Free Festival event include:
- Aquarium tours
- Fort Sumter Museum tour and boat ride
- Education Exhibits
- Healthy Snacks
- Face Painting
- Kids Zone
- Health and Wellness Exhibits
- Boat Rides
$1 Parking will be available at the SC Aquarium and Gaillard Center Parking Garages.
