“Mr. Mercedes” Season 2 Trailer Released
A nearly three minute long trailer for the upcoming second season of Mr. Mercedes, a horror television series based on a best-selling Stephen King series, was recently released online. Both seasons of the show were predominately filmed in the Charleston area.
The first season of the series centered on a demented killer who taunts retired police detective Bill Hodges with information about a mass murder involving a stolen Mercedes. According to Deadline, the second season will be ten episodes long and will be based on King’s best-selling “Bill Hodges Trilogy,” which includes Mr. Mercedes, Finders Keepers, and End of Watch.
Emmy winner Brendan Gleeson (Into the Storm) returns to play Detective Hodges, while Harry Treadaway (Penny Dreadful) is back as Brady Hartsfield, the “Mercedes Killer.” Also returning – David E. Kelley (Big Little Lies) who wrote the script and Jack Bender (Under the Dome) who directed the series.
The first episode of the new season is scheduled to air on Wednesday, August 22nd on AT&T’s Audience network. You can watch the teaser video for season two below:
