Stephen Colbert Thinks Southern Charm is “Depressing”

Charleston native Stephen Colbert, host of The Late Show on CBS, did not mince words when asked about Bravo’s Southern Charm, the reality TV series that chronicles the lives of seven Holy City socialites.

Colbert appeared on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live earlier this week when host Andy Cohen asked him if he was aware of Southern Charm.

His response?

“I try very hard to not be aware of anything associated with Thomas Ravenel.”

Colbert went on to call the show “depressing,” and said, “We don’t want this beautiful little town to be dissected as just an abattoir of morals.” You can see the clip below.

It may make Colbert happy to know that Ravenel recently tweeted that he has quit the show.
