Charleston Performing Arts Center to Host Community Teen Night
On Saturday, August 25th, the Charleston Performing Arts Center and Gina Mocha present the first ever “Community Teen Night on James Island.”
Addressing the need for a safe place for Charleston teens to socialize, the Charleston Performing Arts Center and local activist and author Gina Mocha are thrilled to offer the event from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm. The event is for teens age 12-17 only.
The evening includes dancing, a DJ, and food catered by Gillies Soul Food, in a supervised and fun environment. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased here.
Mocha describes the event as an opportunity to provide “a safe haven for our youth”. She goes on to say that the teens can can “come together to eat, dance, and socialize within the community and to be able to build lasting friendships.”
