Tonight’s Funky Friday at the Charleston Depot Pays Tribute to Aretha Franklin
Tonight, Charleston Depot, the new downtown event venue at 23 Ann Street, will host the third edition of their Funky Fridays series with a tribute to Aretha Franklin. The iconic soul singer passed away on Thursday.
Attendees can enjoy live funk and soul music, a full Bar featuring craft cocktails, and a food menu including items like fire roasted oysters, coconut encrusted Caribbean crab fritters with pineapple tartar sauce, and racclette burger sliders. Plus, Charleston party band The Secrets will perform a music and dance tribute to the Queen of Soul.
Doors open at 8 pm, while the band starts at 10 pm.
