ATOMACON Returns to North Charleston in November

All Types of Media Arts Convention (ATOMACON), an event focused on sci-fi, fantasy, and science, will return to North Charleston from November 30th until December 2nd at the Hilton Garden Inn near Tanger Mall.

This year’s convention is scheduled to include:

• Guest of Honor: Star Wars author Jason Fry
• Artist Guest of Honor: John Hairston, Jr.
• Special Author Guest: Bestselling author Gail Z. Martin
• 35 other guest authors, paranormal experts, artists, and filmmaking professionals
• Charity auction to benefit the Sea Turtle Care Center
• Costume Contest
• Vendor Room
• Concerts from the Dimensional Riffs, Antler Hill, Nefarious Filk Ferrets, Gray Reinhart
• Over 130 hours of workshops, discussion panels, movie screenings, kid’s activities, and more interactive events.
  • Sanctioned Pokémon Tournaments
  • Discussions
    • Costuming (Cosplay), Fringe Sciences, Science and Technology, Art and Music, Literature, and general Fandom such as Star Trek, Dr. Who, Star Wars, Marvel and DC Universes, and much more
• Independent Short Film Festival which will feature 20 or more short films in the Sci-fi, Fantasy,
  and Horror genres

The convention’s hours are as follows:

• Friday, 11/30: 3 pm – Midnight
• Saturday, 12/1: 10 am – Midnight
• Sunday, 12/2: 10 am – 3 pm
