36th Annual Lowcountry Oyster Festival Returns to Boone Hall Plantation in 2019
On January 27, 2019, the Greater Charleston Restaurant Association (GCRA) hosts the 36th Annual Lowcountry Oyster Festival – the world’s largest oyster festival – at Boone Hall Plantation from 10 am to 5 pm.
The event will feature over THOUSANDS of pounds of oysters, in addition to a variety of food options from local restaurants and food trucks. Event highlights include the “Oyster Shucking” and “Oyster Eating” contests, live music on the main stage, local wine and beer, and a children’s area.
General admission is $17.50 if purchased in advance online. VIP admission is $100 and includes access to the VIP tent where food and beverages are included. All food and beverage tickets are sold separately. The festival is a rain or shine event. No pets, coolers or outside food and beverages will be allowed.
Boone Hall Plantation is located at 1235 Long Point Road in Mount Pleasant. There is no charge for general parking. For guests entering the event using the Highway 17N entrance, there are park and ride shuttles that will take you to the festival entrance. For $20 (cash only), preferred parking is available on a first come first serve basis.
