Palmetto Goodwill Stepping Up To Help Flood Victims
Palmetto Goodwill announced yesterday that it is once again partnering with the American Red Cross to help those adversely impacted by the flooding associated with Hurricane Florence. Through this partnership Red Cross issues Goodwill referrals to those in need, who then claim a voucher from Palmetto Goodwill for use at any of their thrift stores.
Additionally, it was announced that Palmetto Goodwill will be utilizing its Round-Up program to raise funds for flood disaster relief.
“Normally our Round-Up revenues go to help fund Palmetto Warrior Connection, but for the next few months funds generated by customers rounding-up at check-out will be contributed directly to the Waccamaw Community Foundation Disaster Relief Fund,” Summer Hatley, VP of Donate Goods for Palmetto Goodwill said. “We hope everyone who shops at Goodwill will Round-Up to help in this effort.”
Palmetto Goodwill is a not-for-profit social enterprise whose mission is to help people reach their full potential through the dignity and power of work. For more information about Palmetto Goodwill visit palmettogoodwill.org.
