Notre Dame’s “Rudy” Ruettiger to Speak in Charleston on 11/2

Kids On Point, a local organization that offers year-round academic enrichment and support for underserved youth throughout the Charleston community, will host their 5th Annual Chucktown Talks event featuring Daniel “Rudy” Ruettiger on Friday, November 2nd at TD Arena.

Against all odds, Ruettiger, in 27 seconds, carved his name into history books as perhaps one of the most famous graduates of the University of Notre Dame. It took years of fierce determination to overcome obstacles and criticisms, yet Rudy achieved his first dream – to attend Notre Dame and play football for the Fighting Irish. As fans cheered his name, Ruddy sacked the oppsoing quarterback in the last 27 seconds of the only play in the only game of his college football career. In 1993, TRISTAR Productions immortalized his life story with the blockbuster film, RUDY.

The event will include a VIP Meet and Greet from 6 pm to 7 pm, while the main event runs from 7 pm to 8 pm. Tickets can be purchased here. Ticket options include:
