About Going Places
Going Places is a nonprofit that provides disadvantaged kids with their most basic childhood right – A right to Joy. We do that by providing EVERY child in a low income elementary school with a brand new, custom bike.
The work founder, Katie Blomquist did last year went viral. It was featured on New York Nightly News with Lester Holt, ABC World News, Time Magazine, and the Steve Harvey Show. Many of these children have never owned anything new before, let alone a new bike, so when we surprise them with these bikes, it truly transforms their childhood.
