NICO Hosting Festive French Dinner in Celebration of Beaujolais Nouveau Day

The four course dinner created by Chef Romo, a Lyon, France native and one of just 66 French Master Chefs in the country (and the only recipient in South Carolina), begins with Chicken Coque au Vin Soup with creme fraiche, followed by a Seafood Crepe with sauce nantua, Duck Breast with orange glaze, and fall vegetables, and ends sweetly with a Profiterole with pumpkin ice cream and spicy chocolate.
Beaujolais Nouveau Day is celebrated in France on every third Thursday in November with festivals and fireworks when the cherry-red colored wine is released at 12:01 am just weeks after the wine’s grapes have been harvested. Beaujolais Nouveau is meant to be drunk young and is best served chilled. This fresh and fruity red is the result of a quick fermentation process with Gamay grapes, creating an easily-drinkable, tasty, and clean wine.
Limited seats to this festive French celebration are available for $60 per person. To make a reservation for NICO’s Beaujolais Nouveau Dinner on Thursday, November 15th, call 843-352-7969.
NICO is located at 201 Coleman Blvd., Mount Pleasant, SC 29464.
