Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum will offer free admission to veterans during Veterans Day Weekend, November 10th and 11th, thanks to donations from the SunTrust Foundation and Navy Federal Credit Union.
The museum is an official Regional Site for the observance of Veterans Day on Sunday, November 11th. Below is a list of events held at Patriots Point over the next several days.

- 11 am – Bells of Peace
- A bell aboard the USS Yorktown will ring 21 times as a solemn reminder of the sacrifice and service of veterans of the Great War. The 21 tolls of the bell symbolize the nation’s highest honor, based on the 21-gun salute. The event will mark the exact moment the armistice agreement that ended the war was signed 100 years ago. Following the tolling of a bell, Patriots Point volunteers will lay a wreath in memory of those who died in the war.
- 12 PM – 4 PM – Charleston Community Band will perform aboard the USS Yorktown
- The performance is included in the price of admission.
