The 13th Annual Charleston Walk for Water is on March 30th
On Saturday, March 30th, local charity Water Mission will host their annual Walk For Water at Riverfront Park in North Charleston. Festivities begin at 9 am.
After opening ceremonies, every participant will take a 2-Gallon bucket (provided at the event) and begin to walk a three-mile route. Halfway through the route, walkers fill their bucket with dirty water (to your desired level) and carry it back to the park. The walk is symbolic of the trek that millions of people make to collect water in developing countries.
The event is open to people of all ages and is dog-friendly.
Water Mission is a “nonprofit Christian engineering organization providing sustainable safe water and sanitation solutions for people in developing countries and disaster areas.”

Editor’s note – I’ve added this event and highly recommend it. It supports a great cause and the walk itself is a lot of fun.
