Local Musician Chaquis Maliq to Make Pour House Main Stage Debut on January 17th
Emerging, unsigned Lowcountry artist Chaquis Maliq, also known as the EccentroSoul 1 Woman Band, is making her Charleston Pour House main stage debut on January 17th at 9 pm. She’ll be the special guest of Entertainment Weekly’s “artist to watch,” Louis York and The Shindellas.
Maliq has opened for established artists like Dru Hill and Tank & the Bangas, her performance with the latter was called “soulful, slightly Prince-Like” by NPR’s CMO.
Her self-produced EP, Resilience Eludes Death, and latest single, “You Can’t” can be streamed on all platforms.
