Lowcountry Mentoring Program Has Dinner Geared to Turn Boys in to MENtors

The Distinguished Gentlemen’s Club Mentoring Program, the premiere community mentoring program of Lowcountry Youth Services, is highlighting National Mentoring Month by celebrating mentorship in its many forms. Fathers, uncles, brothers, mentors are encouraged to bring their sons, nephews, brothers, and/or mentees for a night of food, fellowship, and mentorship. This event will feature a panel discussion about the importance of mentorship from both the mentor and mentee viewpoints. The panel will include leaders of six different local mentoring organizations.

The event will take place on Saturday, January 19th at Wescott Park, 9006 Dorchester Rd, building 300, North Charleston, with the event beginning promptly at 6 pm. Doors will open at 5:30 pm. Tickets are $35 per adult/child combo (child must be K-4 though 12th grade) and $10 for each additional child. Dinner is included in the cost of admission. There will be speakers, door prizes and fun.

Dinner will be prepared by Chef Dennis Green.
