Charleston Carriage Companies Offering Free Carriage Rides to Furloughed Federal Employees
During the week of January 21st through 25th, the three member companies of Charleston C.A.R.E.S. (Carriage Association for Responsible Equine Safety), Charleston Carriage Works, Old South Carriage Company, and Palmetto Carriage Works, will be offering free carriage rides to furloughed federal employees affected by the government shutdown.
“Offering free carriage rides to furloughed federal employees during the shutdown is the least we can do,” John Mulherin, President of Charleston C.A.R.E.S., said. “We are hoping it will bring a little bit of joy to families who are going without pay during this difficult time.”
This offer is available through this Friday to furloughed government employees who can present a valid federal ID.
