A new monthly event at Carnes Crossroads will offer residents and visitors from around the region an opportunity enjoy an eclectic selection of food and beverage options, live music, and family entertainment, all while supporting some of the area’s non-profit organizations.

Free to the public, the event will take place on the second Sunday of each month behind the Green Barn at Carnes Crossroads on Hwy. 17A from noon to 5 pm beginning on Sunday, March 10th.

Each “Food Trucks for Hope” event will feature 10 – 15 food trucks, activities for kids, live music, and other family-friendly entertainment. Seating at the Green Barn will be available, but attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs to stay and enjoy the afternoon music and activities.

The non-profit beneficiary of the March event will be My Sister’s House of Charleston, an organization that provides resources and services to women and their children in the tri-county area who are victims of domestic violence and abuse. Representatives from My Sister’s House will be at the event collecting non-perishable food items and sharing information about the services they provide to those in need in the greater community.

Participating food trucks for the March 10 “Food Trucks for Hope” event include: Jonny Poppers, Squeals on Wheels, Tamashii, SOCU, Lola’s Lumpia, Greekin’ Out, Bearded Dogs, Rolled Quesadillas, Ravenel Seafood #2, Semilla, Holy City Cupcakes, The Ice Cream Lady, and Booze Pops.

Directions

From I-26, take Exit 199B for Highway 17 A (North Main Street). Travel three miles towards Carnes Crossroads and the Green Barn. Turn left onto 1st Avenue into the community and follow signs for free parking.
