Pet Helpers to host Race for the Paws 5k on April 27th

On Saturday, April 27th, Pet Helpers will be holding its second annual Race for the Paws 5k, a race open to the running community AND their animals! The event will take place at the James Island County Park.

Each participant will receive a tech shirt, while dogs will receive a Pet Helpers bandana. Awards will be given out to the top 3 winners and top 3 by age group. The event also includes:

• Games for kids and dogs
• Several water stops
• Food trucks

The event benefits Pet Helpers and their mission to end the euthanasia of all adoptable cats and dogs by keeping all animals until adopted; providing low cost spay/neuter surgeries; offering humane education programs; pursuing animal-cruelty prosecution; and initiating animal-welfare legislation.
