Swig & Swine College Classic at Shipyard Park Kicks Off March 1st

From Friday, March 1st, through Sunday, March 3rd, the inaugural Swig & Swine College Classic will be held at Shipyard Park. The three-day baseball tournament includes Charleston Southern University, the University of Notre Dame, and Ball State University.

Shipyard Park, a 20-acre baseball facility surrounded by the Wando River, will celebrate its first anniversary on Saturday, March 2nd, immediately following the Notre Dame and Ball State game. From 3 pm to 6 pm, Swig & Swine College Classic attendees, spectators, and the general public are invited to stay and join Shipyard Park for its anniversary celebration complete with live music from Patrick Davis and Friends (including Wyatt Durrette and Levi Lowery), family-friendly festivities, jump castles, food and drink specials, and beer and wine for purchase.

The price to attend is $8 for adults and $5 for students. Tickets for children age five and under are free. Saturday’s ticket includes the One Year Anniversary Celebration and festivities after the Notre Dame and Ball State game.

The Swig & Swine College Classic kicks off on Friday, March 1st, at Detyens Field at Shipyard Park with a battle between Charleston Southern and Notre Dame at noon. Swig & Swine’s Mount Pleasant location at Shipyard Park is open daily from 11 am to 10 pm. Shipyard Park is located at 2383 Highway 41, Suite 100 in Mount Pleasant.
