Pairings Set For 2019 CAA Men’s Basketball Championship

The pairings are set for the 2019CAA Men’s Basketball Championship, presented by Jersey Mike’s Subs, which will be held March 9-12 at the North Charleston Coliseum in North Charleston, S.C.

First-round action opens on Saturday as eighth-seeded James Madison (13-18, 6-12 in CAA) faces #9 Towson (10-21, 6-12 in CAA) at 4 p.m., followed by #7 Elon (11-20, 7-11 in CAA) against #10 UNCW (9-22, 5-13 in CAA) at 6:30 p.m.

The CAA quarterfinals tip off at Noon on Sunday with the JMU/Towson winner meeting top-seeded Hofstra (25-6, 15-3 in CAA). At 2:30 p.m., #4 William & Mary (14-16, 10-8 in CAA) takes on #5 Delaware (16-15, 8-10 in CAA). The evening session features second-seeded Northeastern (20-10, 14-4 in CAA) facing the Elon/UNCW winner at 6 p.m., and #3 Charleston (23-8, 12-6 in CAA) challenging #6 Drexel (13-18, 7-11 in CAA) at 8:30 p.m. All games in the first round and quarterfinals can be seen on CAA.TV.

The semifinal games of the CAA Men’s Basketball Championship are set for 6 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. on Monday, with the two winners facing off for the conference title and an automatic bid to the NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12. The semifinal games and championship game will air nationally on CBS Sports Network.
