North Charleston Fire Department is Hiring

The North Charleston Fire Department is currently hiring for firefighter positions. No prior experience is required. Starting salary for firefighters is $37,845. Those who already have firefighter and emergency medical technician certification are eligible for a higher starting salary.
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- at least 18 years old
- high school diploma or E.D.
- valid driver’s license
- pass a background check
- pass a drug screening
- pass a medical physical
Applications will be accepted through April 1, 2019.
The firefighter testing process includes a reading comprehension test, job related physical agility test (JRPAT), and interview. Testing process dates are April 16th and 17th.
