Riller and Brantley Honored On NABC All-District 10 First & Second Team

College of Charleston junior guard Grant Riller (Orlando,Fla.) and senior forward Jarrell Brantley were both honored on the 2018-19 National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Division I All-District 10 First and Second Team respectively.

Riller was selected to the NABC All-District 10 First Team along with Justin Wright-Foreman of Hofstra, Vasa Pusica of Northeastern, Nathan Knightof William & Mary and Devontae Cacok of UNCW. Last year, the two-time All-Colonial Athletic Association First Team selection was named to the NABC All-District 10 Second Team. He ranked second in the conference and No. 20 nationally in scoring averaging 21.9points per game.

Riller scored in double figures in 28-of-33 games during the season for the Cougars including six 30+ point games. He currently ranks seventhall-time in career scoring with 1,796 points and holds College of Charleston’s all-time single-game scoring record in the program’s NCAA Division I Era with 43 points.

Brantley was honored on the NABC All-District 10 Second Team along with Eric Carter of Delaware, Brian Fobbs of Towson, Tyler Seibring of Elonand Stuckey Mosley of James Madison. He was twice named to the NABC All-District 10 First Team in 2017 and 2018. Brantley closed out his four-year career at College of Charleston ranked third all-time in career scoring (1,914 points), fourth all-time in careerrebounding (967), 10th all-time in career steals (150) and 11th all-time in career blocked shots (85). He became the fifth all-time player in program history next to Ken Gustafson (1971-75), Thaddeous Delaney (1994-97), Greg Mack (1981-85) and Sam Meade (1970-74)to record at least 1,500 points and 800 rebounds in a career.

Brantley made 120 career starts, 47 career dunks, recorded 36 career double-doubles and scored in double figures in 103-of-123 career games played.He also registered 20-or-more points in 32 games and 30-or-more points in one game – a career-high 30 points versus Drexel on Feb. 10, 2018. Brantley was named to the 2019 CAA All-Tournament Team.
