Community Encouraged to Sport a Mustache for Julian on April 6th
On Saturday, April 6th, the community is encouraged to sport a mustache in remembrance of Julian Smith, the former Cooper River Bridge Run Race Director who passed away last week from cancer.
Smith was known for many things – his mustache being one of them – and for the first time in 25 years, he won’t be at the Bridge Run start line. Members of the community are hoping to keep his spirit alive through #MustacheForJulian.
Any mustache will do! Grow one out, stick a fake mustache on your face, draw one if you must, but on April 6th, whether you are running the Bridge Run or not, sport your mustache proudly to honor the Charleston legend and thank him for all he has done for our community.
