Cunningham Announces 2019 Congressional Art Competition
Today, Congressman Joe Cunningham invited high school students across the Lowcountry to submit original artwork for the annual Congressional Art Competition. The 2019 Congressional Art Competition is open to all high school students who live in South Carolina’s First Congressional District.
The winners will be chosen by a panel of art professionals from the Lowcountry and there will be a reception for all participants, their families, and teachers. The deadline for submissions is April 30th, 2019. Students interested in participating should fill out the student release form and can find more information about the competition here and on his website.
The first-place winner of the competition will receive two round-trip tickets to the National Reception in Washington, D.C. and their art will be displayed for one year in the U.S. Capitol. Second and third place art pieces will be displayed in the Congressman’s Mt. Pleasant and Beaufort offices.
