Carolina Wine Mixer Returns to the South Carolina Aquarium on May 17th

The 2019 After Hours series at the South Carolina Aquarium is back with its second event of the season, the Carolina Wine Mixer, taking place Friday, May 17th. The all-inclusive event features wine tasting stations throughout the Aquarium, small plates, additional bar refreshments, and up-close animal encounters.

Five wine stations featuring two types of wine at each station will be available for samples. Small plates of exclusive food pairings will be served up by Grace & Grit, Coastal Provisions, The Mills House, and Hank’s Seafood Restaurant.

All of the restaurants, caterers and purveyors providing food for the Carolina Wine Mixer are South Carolina Aquarium Good Catch partners. Good Catch supports local, sustainable seafood choices and encourages restaurants, fishermen and consumers to do the same. Good Catch partners have committed to serving a higher percentage of sustainable seafood sourced from Southeast regional fisheries.

Tickets to the all-inclusive event are $50 and can be purchased at scaquarium.org/afterhours. The Carolina Wine Mixer begins at 7 pm at the South Carolina Aquarium.

The event is part of After Hours, a series of evening events at the South Carolina Aquarium exclusively for adults aged 21 and up. Upcoming events include Jazz on the Harbor (June 7th), Beer from Here (August 16th), and Southern Spirits (October 25th).
