Carroway + Rose Announces Inroads into Tampa Market
Press Release
–
Carroway + Rose, a national boutique creative arts firm with offices in Charleston and Santa Fe, NM, announced the formation of the growing firm’s presence in the greater Saint Petersburg area. The firm offers a full public relations, branding and advertising suite to clients in the arts, travel & tourism, corporate and non-profit sectors and boasts a combined 50 years of experience among its founders.
James Briggs, owner and creative director at the firm, commented on the selection of the region as an area of growth opportunity for the firm, saying “From my first visit onward, I was struck by the sense of community and the artistic freedom and sensibility that I found in Gulfport and Saint Petersburg. To have an artist of the caliber of Brenda McMahon become our first client in the area was a clear indicator that we were in the right place.”
McMahon, a renowned ceramicist and a leader of the Gulfport arts collective ArtJones, is working with Carroway + Rose on the grand opening of her fine art gallery on May 3. McMahon spoke about her collaboration with the firm, saying, “I am so excited to be working with Carroway + Rose on the opening of my new gallery in Gulfport. Owner and Creative Director James Briggs is easy to work with, quick to respond to my needs and generous in his desire to collaborate. Carroway + Rose is truly a gem.”
Briggs also announced the formation of a community partnership with local non-profit The Enroy Foundation, which is committed to the visual and performing arts through collaborative, educational, and environmental projects. “To be associated with Larry and Maureen at The Enroy Foundation gives me the confidence that firms like ours can find a place to grow in Gulfport. People like them make you feel like magical things are possible here and we are honored to work with them.”
Added Maureen Kilroy, who with her husband Larry Enlow runs the foundation, “We at Enroy Foundation, Inc. look forward to partnering with Carroway + Rose. As a small 501(c)3 organization committed to visual and performing arts in the Tampa Bay area, we know where we want to go, but lack some of the expertise to get us there. We have full trust and confidence in James Briggs and Carroway + Rose’s ability to help us get there.”
Carroway + Rose also reached an agreement with veteran Florida troubadour Laura Shepherd, host of the bi-weekly ‘Laura Shepherd Show’ and podcast ‘Something’s Gonna Happen.’ Shepherd has been performing her unique brand of down-to earth-folk music with an international worldview for audiences for over two decades and has a devoted following for her show, which can be found live every other Sunday on her Facebook page. Added Shepherd of working with the firm, “Working with Carroway + Rose allows me to bring all of my various hats under one tent and reach the largest audience possible to share the good happenings around the area! I couldn’t be more excited.”
Briggs also announced the retention of The Blue Muse Project and Sea Song Designs, both helmed by multi-talented Florida artist Misti Bernard. The Blue Muse Project performs world, jazz, blues and Celtic music across the country while Sea Song Designs features handcrafted jewelry made of diamond, pearls, crystal and other fine stones and metals with a Classical and Victorian influence.
Said Bernard, “Working with Carroway + Rose has already been an incredibly fruitful experience. After our first meeting, I knew we had a plan of action for taking steps toward reaching our goals for both The Blue Muse Project and Sea Song Designs. There’s a lot of work to do and I’m confident that James and Carroway + Rose will help get us there.”
The firm will be the recipient of a launch party for the firm’s efforts in the region on May 4that the Enroy Foundation in Gulfport, Florida. Details will be released in the coming days on the firm’s social media.
Carroway + Rose professionals have a portfolio of previous and current clients including Charleston brands Wild Dunes, Seabrook Island and The American College of Building Arts and have steered national brands such as Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer, T-Mobile, The Art Institute of Chicago and The Georgia O’Keeffe Museum along with dozens of local entrepreneurs and artists around the country.
