Charleston Music Hall Plans “Summer of Tributes”
The Charleston Music Hall has planned a series called The Summer of Tributes, featuring four separate concerts.
The schedule is as follows:
- Saturday, June 29th: The Prince Project: A Tribute to Prince
- Doors Open: 7 pm, Show Starts: 8 pm
- “The Prince Project, hailing from Columbiana, Ohio is quickly becoming the region’s hottest and most entertaining tribute act.
What makes The Prince & The Revolution tribute band stand apart is front man DaVaughn Weber, the nationally-known Prince impersonator who has made appearances around the country and is infamous for his extreme likeness to “The Purple One”.Also featured is Lea Nesbitt as muse Wendy with her unforgettable purple Rickenbacker and killer female vocals; and Ben Bond, a local favorite known for backing local country artist Chris Higbee, as Brownmark on the bass. Rounding out the band is Michael Lesko as Dr Fink on the keys in his signature scrubs; Jazz guitarist Wayne Smith wails with energy on lead guitar as 80s favorite Dez Dickerson; Dave Fox keeps it in the erotic pocket as the ever-entertaining Bobby Z on electric drums.
The Prince Project is known for its authenticity in looks and near-perfect Revolution sound. Fans who’ve never seen Prince & The Revolution live will be amazed by the exact sound and look of the band, especially with Weber in the titular role.”
- Saturday, July 13th: On the Border – The Ultimate Eagles Tribute
- Doors Open: 7 pm, Show Starts: 8 pm
- “On the Border – The Ultimate Eagles Tribute pulls it off, treating fans to an authentic concert experience while journeying through The Eagles songbook. The band covers every big hit, from ballads such as “Desperado” and “Lyin’ Eyes” to rockin’ hits such as “Life in the Fast Lane” and “Heartache Tonight” with such accuracy, that listeners may permanently confuse “On the Border” with the real Eagles! It’s truly a masterful sound to witness for yourself. Hitting major festivals and concert venues around the country, they created so much of a buzz, that in 2015 AXSTV’s hit show, “The World’s Greatest Tribute Bands” came calling for them to perform Live on TV at the famous “Whisky a Go Go” in LA.
–What sets this EAGLES Tribute apart from ANY other, is they were hand selected to emulate both the sound and overall feel of each Eagles member. They each perform that particular Eagles member’s vocals & musical parts.Their passion, showmanship and precise attention to replicating the details of The Eagles Music, has earned them critical acclaim, name recognition and a very loyal following. Together, they reproduce the recordings of the Eagles catalog with stunning guitar work, lead vocals and the harmonies have been said to capture the feeling of being at an actual Eagles concert! Bring them to your next event and rest assured, you get a GREAT show your patrons will be raving about and begging for more!”
