Luke’s Craft Pizza Closing on Third Anniversary
Luke’s Craft Pizza today announced that Saturday, May 18th, the downtown pizzeria’s third anniversary, will be their last day of business.
The announcement, which was made on Facebook, said:
“Saturday May 18th will mark three years since our little pizza shop opened. It’s been an incredible run, and we are forever grateful for this experience. That’s why it’s truly bittersweet for us to say that in a few short weeks May 18th will also signify our last day of business. We’ll be closing the doors, and moving onto the next chapter in our lives.
We want to be completely transparent: this isn’t due to slow sales, staffing shortage, or rising operating costs—we’ve been very fortunate in that regard, and the unwavering amount of love and support from our family, friends, customers, critics, etc has been more than we could have dreamed of. This is simply due to family. Our schedule just doesn’t allow us enough time together, so we’re making a change.
So, come on by the shop one last time to get a pizza and say goodbye. We don’t exactly know what’s next, but we’re excited for new opportunities. We hope—we know—it won’t be the last you’ll see of Luke’s pizza.”
Luke’s Craft Pizza is located at 271 Ashley Avenue. They are open Thursday through Sunday from 4 pm to 9 pm.
