Find Your Fit with Healthy Tri-County…and Holy City Sinner!
Did you know that South Carolina ranks 44th in the nation in health? To combat this concerning statistic, Healthy Tri-County has launched Find Your Fit, a healthy lifestyle campaign and they need YOU!
Visit healthytricounty.com to sign the Find Your Fit pledge to make changes to improve health outcomes in your lives and the lives of your family and friends. Unlike some other healthy lifestyle campaigns, Find Your Fit is about more than just eating healthier and exercising. Healthy Tri-County has identified five focus areas and invites you to commit to working on one or multiples:
- Access to Care (everything from health insurance to transportation to appointments)
- Behavioral Health
- Clinical Preventative Services (routine screenings, immunizations and checkups)
- Maternal, Infant and Child Health
- Obesity, Nutrition and Physical Activity
Once you sign the pledge, download a Take Action Guide full of suggestions for how YOU can improve your health and the health of your friends and families. Share that you’ve signed the pledge and ask your friends to join you by posting on social media using #FindYourFitHTC. Then share your progress over the next six months and continue to use the hashtag – it may just result in some great swag for you!
I am thrilled to announce that I’ll be participating in Find Your Fit! I have taken the pledge and I’m honored to be one of HTC’s Find Your Fit Champions! I will be championing the Behavior Health focus area and will share much more info soon. You can learn more about each champion as we are introduced here.
Healthy Tri-County is a health initiative that was formed in January 2017 by MUSC Health, Roper St. Francis Healthcare and Trident United Way to explore new ways of improving health outcomes in Berkeley, Charleston and Dorchester counties. Now boasting 67 formal member organizations from nonprofit, government and business sectors, Healthy Tri-County published the first region-specific health improvement plan for the Tri-County area. It launched Find Your Fit to encourage residents to put the plan in action.
