Charleston Allergy and Asthma Hosts Peanut-Free Night with the Charleston RiverDogs
Charleston Allergy and Asthma, a board-certified allergy practice with locations in Mount Pleasant, Summerville, and West Ashley, will host its fourth peanut-free night during the Charleston RiverDogs’ game at Joseph P. Riley Jr. Stadium on Wednesday, May 15th.
The gates will open at 6 pm and the game, featuring the RiverDogs versus the West Virginia Power, will start at 7:05 pm.
“We know that it can be wearisome for people with peanut allergies to attend baseball games,” Dr. Jeffrey Dietrich, a board-certified allergist with Charleston Allergy and Asthma, said. “Even slight accidental exposure could lead to life-threatening allergic reactions. That’s why we’re so excited to host this peanut-free night for the fourth year in a row. It allows our friends with peanut allergies to be able to experience the joy of America’s favorite pastime in a safe environment.”
In preparation for the peanut-free night, the entire Charleston RiverDogs stadium will be thoroughly cleaned and pressure-washed prior to the game to remove any peanut residue to ensure a safe environment for attendees with peanut allergies. There will also be peanut-free refreshments, games, and giveaways for attendees.
