Report: South Carolina Is 2019’s 10th Best State for Military Retirees

Personal finance website WalletHub today released its report on 2019’s Best States for Military Retirees and South Carolina ranked tenth.

The website compared the 50 states and the District of Columbia across 29 indicators of retirement-friendliness toward veterans. The data set ranges from job opportunities for veterans to housing affordability to quality of VA hospitals.

• 17^th – % of Homeless Veterans
• 28^th – Veteran Job Opportunities
• 27^th – Housing Affordability
• 1^st – % of Veteran-Owned Businesses
• 8^th – Number of VA Benefits-Administration Facilities per Number of Veterans
