Charleston Cruise & Travel Show Debuts on June 1st
Local residents will be ready to pack their bags and go on an adventure after attending the first-ever Charleston Cruise & Travel Show presented by Dream Vacations. The travel show will take place on Saturday, June 1st, from 10 am to 4 pm at the Charleston Marriott on 170 Lockwood Blvd.
“We are excited to bring the world of travel to the South Carolina Lowcountry,” Rosemarie Reed, vice president of marketing and strategic partnerships for Dream Vacations, said. “We promise this will be a show like no other with the best vacation offers, family fun, inspiring travel presentations, exciting prizes and many more surprises that you’ll have to attend to experience.”
Nearly 20 vacation suppliers will be exhibiting including Carnival Cruise Line, Celebrity Cruises, Norwegian Cruise Line, GOGO Vacations, and more. Inspirational speakers will discuss the importance of travel, exciting new trends in the industry, and top destinations to travel. In addition, multiple cruise lines will be giving presentations, including Virgin Voyages about its highly anticipated new cruise line.
The Charleston Cruise & Travel Show also will bring vacation experiences to life with towel animal demonstrations, a silent disco, food tasting stations showcasing cruise line and international cuisine, as well as local celebrities the Cocktail Bandits shaking things up with cocktail-making demonstrations.
Character appearances and a meet and greet with Cool Ray the Stingray, along with an arts and crafts station will entertain children in the Kid’s Corner, while the Fun Zone will feature party games such as life-size Jenga, Connect Four and Cornhole for guests of all ages.
Attendees also can enter to win Tumi luggage, a $5,000 vacation giveaway to anywhere in the world, a free cruise, and more. Plus, Grammy winning singer/songwriter Wyatt Durrette will be performing as part of his group Yesterday’s Wine.
