Alice’s Clubhouse to Participate in The Longest Day
Alice’s Clubhouse, a dementia-specific memory care day center in the Mt. Pleasant, will be participating in The Longest Day, a global Alzheimer’s event that brings together thousands of participants across the world to fight the darkness of Alzheimer’s on the day with the most sunlight. The event will be held on Friday, June 21st from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm.
Visitors will be able to learn about Alzheimer’s and show support for fighting the disease by coming out to Alice’s Clubhouse for a health fair.
There will be representatives from Alice’s Clubhouse Memory Day Center, Fox Rehab Physical & Occupational Therapy, Northern Tides Speech and Language, Podiatry Associates of Charleston, and Mount Pleasant Gardens Alzheimer’s Special Care Center. Participants will have a chance to be given blood pressure screenings and mini mental exams. In addition, Alice’s Clubhouse Executive Director Diane Sancho will be available to share information about Alice’s Clubhouse for Visiting Caregivers.
The non-profit event will give all of the donations to the Alzheimer’s Association.
