Freshfields Village Announces Pet-Friendly Initiatives – Including Temperature Controlled Dog House
Press Release
–
Freshfields Village recently announced new pet-friendly initiatives, designed to welcome locals and visitors who want to bring their pets along.
“The team at Freshfields Village understands firsthand that pets are an important part of the family and vacation experience,” Trish Pruitt, Marketing Director of Freshfields Village said. “With these new initiatives, we aim to accommodate locals and out-of-town guests alike by making the Village as pet-friendly as possible.”
These pet-friendly initiatives include new decals that will be displayed in the windows of pet-friendly establishments, indicating which restaurants have a pet-friendly patio and which stores allow shoppers to bring their dog inside. Many stores also offer water bowls outside for pets and treats inside. Additionally, pet-friendly restaurants and stores will have an icon placed on their individual pages on the Freshfields Village website directory.
As always, the Village Green is a great place to relax with your pet. A majority of Freshfields Village events, including Music on the Green and Starlight Cinema happening throughout the summer, are pet-friendly. Well-mannered, leashed pets are welcome to enjoy the events with their families.
In order to accommodate shoppers who need to go into stores that are not pet-friendly, Freshfields Village will launch DogSpot on June 27th. DogSpot, which already has a presence in California, New York, Washington, DC, Connecticut, and more, is an air-conditioned and heat equipped dog house, providing one’s dog a safe and cozy home while the owner goes into an establishment where dogs are not permitted (like the grocery store). DogSpot has a puppy cam inside the dog house so you can keep an eye on them while you shop, is auto-sanitizing using UV light to kill bacteria, and is remotely monitored allowing you (and their team) to keep tabs on your pup 24/7.
Shoppers will be able to use DogSpot by downloading the app on their phone and reserving a spot in advance. To ensure security, the doors lock immediately after being shut and only unlock with a membership card or the owner’s app. The DogSpot will be conveniently located next to Harris Teeter allowing you to bring your dog to the Village.
Don’t let your dog miss out on all the fun this summer! Bring them along for a day and evening at Freshfields Village and share all their tail-wagging moments on social media with the #DogsofFreshfields hashtag.
