Press Release

On Thursday, July 18th, 82 Queen will host a special four-course Rosé Dinner complete with seafood-centric dishes by Executive Chef Steve Stone and rosé pairings.

The dinner is set to begin at 6:30 pm with light hors d’oeuvres. Upon arrival guests will be presented with Petite Lobster Stuffed Tomato Pie and a glass of Prosecco followed by a four-course dinner showcasing creative seafood dishes and respective rosé pairings for $75 per person.

The dinner will start with a first course of 82 Queen’s award-winning She Crab Soup paired with a glass of Aix Rosé. The special dinner will continue with a second course of 82 Queen’s beloved Barbecue Shrimp & Grits made with Southern Comfort Barbecue Sauce, Applewood Smoked Bacon, Cheddar Cheese and Scallions paired with a glass of L’Oliveto Rosé of Pinot Noir. In their third course guests can expect a Scallop Risotto with Charred Asparagus Puree and a Lemon Goat Cheese Risotto paired with Clos Cibbone Rosé. Finally, for the dessert course, guests will be presented with a seasonal Limoncello Cake with Wild Berry Coulis paired with Villa Balestra Rosé of Moscato.

“We’re excited to offer this Rosé Dinner as part of our special summer dining series at 82 Queen,” says Queen Street Hospitality CEO Jonathan Kish. “We wanted to keep the second special dinner light and seasonal, highlighting the best of summer in the Lowcountry, and what better way to do that than with fresh seafood and rosé!”

A portion of the sales from the Rosé Dinner will go towards Catch Up on Lunch, a recently launched fundraising effort in partnership with local non-profit organizations The Lowcountry Blessing Box Project, I Heart Hungry Kids and the Charleston Restaurant Foundation, to help eliminate student lunch debt in Charleston, Dorchester and Berkeley counties.

Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased here. The $75 per person ticket does not include tax and gratuity and the special dinner will be capped at 30 tickets sold.
