Grateful Dead Tribute Band To Play at James Island County Park this Fall
Grateful Dead fans, rejoice! The popular local tribute band The Reckoning is returning to James Island County Park in September. This fall concert hosted by the Charleston County Park and Recreation Commission (CCPRC) will take place Sunday, September 15th.
“The Reckoning in the Park” will be held in the off-leash dog park area of James Island County Park from 1 pm to 5 pm and is free with park admission. Beverages, including beer and soda, will be available for purchase; however, food is not allowed in the dog park.
Based in Charleston, The Reckoning offers a fresh new approach to the seemingly infinite library of songs and soundscapes that can only be defined as “Grateful Dead.” Celebrating the band’s entire catalogue of material as it developed and danced through the decades, The Reckoning leaves no leaf unturned.
Admission to “The Reckoning in the Park” is free with admission to James Island County Park, which is $2 per person or free for Gold Pass holders. Dogs are welcome, and are invited to enjoy the dog park off-leash during the event. Dogs must be leashed at all times when outside the dog park.
All outside food, alcohol and coolers are prohibited.
