The Yorktown Countdown New Year’s Eve Party Returns this December

On Tuesday, December 31st, 2019, the USS Yorktown will not be occupied with the usual wanderers exploring the decommissioned ship. Instead, it will be transformed into the 8th annual Yorktown Countdown New Years Eve Party – voted the Best Party of 2018 by the Charleston City Paper’s readers.

This exclusive VIP New Years Eve Celebration will provide a top-shelf all-inclusive bar, champagne, and light hors-d’oeuvres. Guests can explore the entire ship with 2 different stage areas and 15,000 sq.-ft of heated tent space on the flight deck with the great views of the Charleston Harbor, Ravenel Bridge and downtown.

From 9 pm until 1 am, guests will see live bands and DJs from varying genres. Headlining acts include:

• Charleston party band, Motown Throwdown
• Minutes & Years, a four-piece band featuring vocals by Jaron Strom from Season 14 of NBC’s The Voice
• Kilgo, a DJ that will be accompanied by drummer Andrew Ellington
• DJ B

VIP tickets start at $175 and include an all-inclusive full service top shelf bar, light hors d’oeuvres, and access to 2 different stages, the indoor airplane hangar, outdoor fantail area, and the Yorktown’s rooftop flight deck (which will be tented and heated), large-screen ball drop, special performances and much more.
