Indigo Road Hospitality Group Donates $40,000 to Homeless to Hope Fund

The Indigo Road Hospitality Group, the company behind O-Ku, The Cocktail Club, The Macintosh, Indaco, Oak Steakhouse, Mercantile and Mash, Bar Mash, The Cedar Room, and more, on Monday announced that its teams across the Southeast raised a total of $40,000 for Homeless to Hope Fund as a part of the company’s 10^th anniversary celebration. 

“It is a true honor to work alongside a team that rallies behind a higher purpose of giving back to our community,” managing partner Steve Palmer said. “Everyone from leadership to our front-of-house restaurant teams worked hard to educate guests about Homeless to Hope’s mission during the month of July, ultimately doubling our initial fundraising goal of $20,000 . I can’t imagine a better way to ring in 10 years of The Indigo Road than supporting a cause close to my heart in the town we call home.”

Throughout the month of July – which marked a decade since Palmer took ownership of Charleston’s Oak Steakhouse in 2009 – each of the company’s 22 food and beverage concepts donated 100 percent of proceeds from one dish and one drink to Homeless to Hope Fund, commemorating a decade of the group’s commitment to hospitable service. The nonprofit works tirelessly to provide financial support and direction to community organizations in Charleston that assist homeless individuals and families throughout their transition to permanent housing.
