Tom Petty Tribute Band to Perform at the Charleston Music Hall
The Charleston Music Hall presents Learning to Fly: A Tom Petty Tribute featuring Charleston’s Tom Petty Tribute Band on October 25th at 8 pm. Local musician, former Explorers Club band member, and Honeysmoke lead singer, Dave Ellis, has put together an amazing group of Charleston musicians to create a tribute to the iconic rockstar.
Attendees can expect to hear all their favorite Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers songs along with some deep cuts. You’re encouraged to arrive at the venue a little early to see a special video montage that will run from 7 pm to 8 pm. Doors for the show will open at 7 pm and the music will begin at 8 p,. Tickets are range from $15 to $25.
“The band is an amalgamation of several different local Charleston musicians, all of which share an appreciation of and an affinity for the music and career of Tom Petty,” Ellis said. “Tom Petty has been a musical influence and inspiration of mine since I first started learning guitar at the age of fifteen. His music grew on me even more as I aged. I believe that his songs are timeless, and they resonate with people across all generations.”
