Shaggin’ on the Cooper Season Finale Set for September 7th
With summertime coming to a close, the Shaggin’ on the Cooper series is offering one more chance to dance to beach music on the Mount Pleasant Pier. The Charleston County Park and Recreation Commission’s (CCPRC) popular Shaggin’ on the Cooper series hosts its season finale on September 7th featuring live music by Recollections.
The Recollections band will perform beach music and other hits sure to keep folks on the Mount Pleasant Pier dancing throughout the evening.
Spend one last summer evening on the pier with a date or head out to meet new friends, kick back and relax while taking in the fresh air and fun atmosphere. Gates open at 7 p.m. and music starts at 8 p.m. Shaggin’ on the Cooper is open to all ages; participants ages 15 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
Shaggin’ on the Cooper is held at the foot of the 1250-foot-long Mount Pleasant Pier, located next to the Memorial Waterfront Park. The pier is the perfect spot to catch cool breezes, beautiful scenery, and views of Charleston Harbor and the Ravenel Bridge. Beverages are available for purchase on site, and food is available for sale at the Mount Pleasant Pier’s River Watch Café. Food and beverages are not included in ticket prices.
Advance tickets to Shaggin’ on the Cooper are $8 per person. Space is limited, so advance purchase is recommended. If available, tickets sold on site are $10. To purchase tickets, visit CharlestonCountyParks.com or call 843-795-4386.
